A Festival Of Flowers In Oil Paint & Oil Pastels

Ruth Edens is an artist living in Belfast with her husband, two kids and her cat. Ruth graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2004 with a first class honours degree in Drawing and Painting. Ruth also attended Yale Summer School of Music and Art in Connecticut, USA in 2003. Ruth's inspiration comes from flowers and plants and loves responding to them in her art, and when she is not drawing and painting she is probably in the garden. Ruth tells us "I paint and draw in an impressionist style and I love oil paint and oil pastels".
Cherry Blossom Moments, oil on stretched canvas, 15cm x 21cm, unframed.

‘Cherry Blossom Moments’ is an original oil painting on canvas that was inspired by the beauty of blossom in spring time. I spend a lot of spring time gazing at the impossible beauty of the blossom in my neighbourhood. I’m always trying to spot the peak moment of the beauty and had to capture a moment from an early morning walk when I stopped to take it all in.
