Cottage Garden Inspired Jewellery
Caroline Dilworth is the artist behind Les Papillons. Based in County Fermanagh, Caroline used to paint large landscapes and horses, but arthritic pain led to surgery and stopped a flourishing career as an artist. Compelled to paint she found that painting small eliminated the pain, but what do you do with tiny artworks? You wear them!
Caroline enjoys painting animal faces and floral scenes, Influenced by her cottage garden, which at times looks more wild than manicured her paintings document the changing of the seasons and the growing flowers and those very useful critters who pollinate our planet.
Each piece is an original painting using artist acrylics and they are all made to withstand the worst of our weather. Just don't take them swimming! Presented in branded packaging, with gift tag and artist information sheet, each piece is sent by Royal Mail using First Class Signed For so that waiting time is kept to a minimum. Every order is dispatched by the end of the next working day.
The unmistakable blue of a summer sky and the simple form of the daisy captured in this little pendant.
We see them everywhere and they are often overlooked, Little white dots of flowers amongst the lawn. If left alone daisies grow quite tall and floppy. If striving to survive in between the mowing they become short and hug the ground. Either way, they awake with the rising sun, open petals following the sun's journey across the sky until dusk; when their petals close as if to sleep.
An original painting mounted onto a quality silver plated setting, suspended from an 18 inch chain with an easy to use lobster clasp.
