Willow Leaves Handmade Books are a range of notebooks and sketchbooks for artists and writers, doodlers and jotters, which are made in my little workshop in rural County Antrim. I use a range of materials to make these unique books: lovely and unusual papers from around the world for the case bound books and soft cork for the wraparound travel journals.
The Travelers Collection
The Wraparound journal is covered in soft cork material (sometimes referred to as ‘vegan leather’) and has plain white good-quality pages. It is bound with long stitching – this style of binding enables the pages to open wide and flat thus making it ideal for sketching. It is secured with a black thong that wraps around a Celtic-design button. Measuring 11cm x 13cm, it is can easily be slipped into a pocket or a bag.
